Coffs Day Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility opening in October 2017 in the North Coast region of New South Wales.
Our facility hosts precision instrumentation, complemented by highly experienced specialist nursing staff who use best practice sterilisation procedures.
With an average stay of just three and a half hours, we are proud of our record of excellent recovery with minimal disruption to patients’ lives.
Our Faculties and Technologies
We are a day surgery, specialising in quick procedures with fast recovery times.
Our centre prides itself on providing the best level of ophthalmic care to the Coffs Harbour community. We are equipped with the best ophthalmic machines and technology to provide the safest procedures possible.
Our nursing and support staff are second-to-none, attracted by the specialisation of what we do and the long history of our parent companies in providing eye surgeries.
Operating previously as “Coffs Harbour Day Surgical Centre”, we provided surgical procedures to the Coffs Harbour community.
In August 2017, we joined Presmed Australia’s day hospitals, and have specialised in providing ophthalmic procedures with the signature Presmed care and service. The site is located in Coffs Harbour, a significant urban center in New South Wales’ North Coast.
Patient Satisfaction is Central
We are guided by two key measurements: clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
We pride ourselves on continuing to ensure we improve our standards, knowing that excellence is a journey, not a destination.
We appreciate that undergoing surgery can be stressful, tiring or daunting for patients. Our experienced team seeks to ensure all patients are treated with the utmost respect and care. Feedback from patients directly informs any changes we implement to our processes and procedures.
We also have volunteer patient and family advisors who give detailed feedback on their experiences at our hospital to help us plan improvements.
Ongoing Professional Development and Education
We are committed to the ongoing education of our patients, staff and related health professionals and endeavour to provide up-to-date, useful and relevant information and education.
We run specialist health education programs in the community and also support local and international healthcare charities to bring critical surgery to those in need.
Meeting and exceeding national standards and qualifications in order to provide you with the best care.
We have negotiated contracts with all the major health funds and are a proud member of the Australian Private Hospitals Association and the Australian Day Hospitals Association.
In addition, we undergo regular internal and external audits to ensure that our standards are always ahead of the national curve.
